VILLAGE OF PINEHURST, N.C. (May 7, 2013) – Pinehurst Resort & Country Club recently announced that it has named Ben Bridgers as director of golf. Bridgers, whose background includes proven success as general manager and as head golf professional, comes to Pinehurst most recently from Nags Head Golf Links & The Village Beach Club in Nags Head, N.C.

"Ben is a rising star with the expertise and energy that will lead Pinehurst in delivering a high-end country club experience for members and resort guests,” said Jay Biggs, Senior Vice President of Golf and Club Operations at Pinehurst Resort. “He will bring some new ideas and services, and a fresh perspective, that will continue to distinguish Pinehurst as a unique destination.”

A Conway, N.C., native, Bridgers most recently was the general manager of Nags Head Golf Links & the Village Beach Club, as well as interim general manager of The Currituck Club in Corolla, N.C. Prior to that, he served as head golf professional and operations manager at Nags Head Golf Links.

Bridgers’ work has earned several awards, including ClubCorp’s Superstar Award and Bronze Circle of Excellence. He earned a B.S., in Business Administration and a B.S. in Management of Human Resources from Barton College.
