Kindel Grand Rapids is pleased to announce the debut of the Pinehurst Collection this October at the Fall 2017 High Point Market. This collaboration between two distinctly American brands—one of handcrafted, high-end furniture and the other dubbed the cradle of American golf—has produced a capsule collection of 13 timeless yet remarkable pieces. On September 30, nearly 120 years after golf arrived at Pinehurst, the historic resort will open The Cradle, a nine-hole short course that even the newest to the game can enjoy. Designed by golf architect Gil Hanse, The Cradle, at 789 yards, features holes ranging from 56 to 127 yards. Mere steps from the Resort Clubhouse, it is the same area where, in 1898, Dr. Leroy Culver carved the first nine holes out of the sand at Pinehurst.

The Chef & Maker Series features three award-winning North Carolina chefs showcasing their unique talents alongside a variety of artisan makers. The first weekend, May 12-14, features acclaimed Charlotte chef Clark Barlowe (Heirloom Restaurant), then July 7-9, James Beard Award-winning chef Ashley Christensen (Death and Taxes, Poole’s Diner, etc.) of Raleigh, and finally James Beard-nominated Asheville chef Katie Button (Nightbell and Curate) Sept. 15-17.

For decades, golfers and guests have gathered on the veranda overlooking the 18th green of famed Pinehurst No. 2. Now, they are able to do so in The Deuce, Pinehurst Resort and Country Club’s new bar and restaurant. Featuring a bar area that opens onto the veranda, The Deuce offers the resort’s best view of No. 2’s historic finishing hole where the game’s greatest players have prevailed, including Payne Stewart, who won the 1999 U.S. Open with a dramatic 15-foot par putt there to beat Phil Mickelson.
